Terms of Use — liveSats

These Terms govern access to and use of liveSats by Creators and Donors.
If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1) Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using liveSats, you represent that:

  • you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy;
  • you are 18 years of age or older;
  • you will use the service in compliance with applicable laws (including anti-corruption, sanctions, and AML laws where applicable).

Mandatory KYC (Creators): to enable payouts and full use of liveSats, Creators may be required to complete identity verification (KYC) and/or compliance checks. Without approval, we may limit, suspend, or terminate functionality.

2) What liveSats is

liveSats is an application that enables:

  • authentication via SSO (e.g. Google);
  • integration with streaming platforms (e.g. YouTube API Services, when enabled);
  • receiving donation (“tip”) payments in crypto on supported networks (e.g. EVM — Ethereum and compatible chains — and, when enabled, Bitcoin Lightning Network);
  • displaying donation events/messages during broadcasts and management/reporting tools.

Operating model (forward): where applicable, donations are forwarded (“forward”) to the Creator after deduction of the platform fee of 2% (two percent) of the gross donation amount. liveSats may operate via smart contracts, integrations, and third-party infrastructure to detect and display donations.

liveSats is not:

  • a bank, payment institution, broker, exchange, custodian, or investment advisor;
  • a fiat on-ramp/off-ramp provider (unless explicitly stated).

3) Accounts, SSO, and security

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the security of your email/SSO account and devices;
  • all activity under your account;
  • notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for fraud risk, abuse, or legal obligation.

4) Third-party integrations (YouTube/Google)

When connecting integrations via OAuth:

  • you grant permissions as shown in the consent flow;
  • you may revoke permissions at any time in Google;
  • liveSats depends on third-party availability and policies (which may change without notice).

liveSats does not control YouTube/Google or guarantee API availability/continuity.

5) Crypto donations — hard rules (irreversible)

5.1) Nature of donations

Donations are voluntary and made to support the Creator. Unless liveSats expressly states otherwise, donations:

  • are not a purchase of a product/service from liveSats;
  • do not create a right to a refund;
  • may be subject to network fees (gas/fees) and the 2% platform fee on the donation amount.

5.2) Irreversibility and risk

Blockchain and Lightning transactions:

  • may be irreversible and non-refundable;
  • may fail due to network error, nonce, insufficient gas, reorg, wrong address, wrong contract, fake token;
  • may experience fee variation and confirmation delay.

You assume the risk. If you send to the wrong address, network, token, or with wrong parameters, you will likely lose funds.

5.3) Supported networks (EVM-only vs multi-chain)

Supported networks/tokens are defined by liveSats and may vary by region/configuration.
If you use an unsupported network/token, liveSats may NOT be able to recognize or credit the donation.

5.4) Fees, commissions, and transparency

The platform fee is 2% (two percent) of the gross amount of each donation received, deducted automatically before payout to the Creator (forward model), unless we notify you in advance of a change in these Terms or in the application.

Additionally, the following may apply:

  • processing/infrastructure fees (where applicable);
  • network costs (gas/fees) we do not control.

Any other fees or amounts (if any) will be shown or described in documentation or product configuration when possible.

5.5) Refunds and chargebacks

Default rule: donations are final and non-refundable.
Rare exceptions may exist due to legal obligation or error clearly attributable to liveSats, at our discretion.

5.6) KYC, compliance, and blocks

liveSats may require Creator KYC and run compliance checks (including sanctions and antifraud). We may:

  • refuse, suspend, or limit accounts/functions until KYC is completed/approved;
  • block or refuse suspicious interactions/transactions, where applicable.

Important: liveSats does not promise donation “hold/escrow.” The model is forward, and any delay may occur only due to technical limits, on-chain confirmation, security/compliance requirements, or third-party unavailability.

6) Creator obligations

The Creator agrees to:

  • keep payout details correct (addresses, networks, keys);
  • comply with local laws (including taxes);
  • not use liveSats for illegal content, fraud, laundering, terrorism, sexual exploitation, incitement to violence, hate, or copyright infringement and/or any content prohibited by the streaming platform.

The Creator is solely responsible for their content and for promises made to donors.

7) Prohibited conduct

You may not:

  • violate laws/sanctions/embargoes;
  • use the service for fraud, money laundering, phishing, scams, or social engineering;
  • attempt to exploit vulnerabilities, bypass limits, or automate abuse;
  • send malware, spam, or illegal/abusive content;
  • interfere with service operation.

Violations may result in immediate ban, interruption of donation receipt through the application, and reporting to authorities where applicable.

8) Intellectual property

liveSats and its components (software, brand, UI, documentation) are protected by intellectual property rights.

You retain rights to your content but grant liveSats a limited license to display/process what is necessary to operate the service (e.g. showing a donation message on stream).

9) Availability, changes, and termination

We may:

  • change, suspend, or discontinue features;
  • impose limits (rate limits), security requirements, and technical changes;
  • terminate accounts for violation, risk, or legal obligation.

10) Disclaimer of warranties (as-is)

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We do not warrant:

  • continuous uptime;
  • that third-party integrations (Google/YouTube) will always work;
  • that every transaction will be detected/confirmed successfully;
  • complete absence of failures/bugs.

11) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • liveSats will not be liable for indirect losses, lost profits, reputational loss, volatility loss, network/blockchain failures, or third-party acts;
  • our total liability, if any, will be limited to [FILL_CAP] (e.g. platform fees paid to liveSats in the prior 3 months).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the minimum required by law applies.

12) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify liveSats for damages, losses, and costs arising from:

  • breach of these Terms;
  • illegal use of the service;
  • infringement of third-party rights.

13) Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and the courts of São Paulo/SP are elected, with waiver of any other venue, however privileged.
For international operation, country/state-specific rules may apply.
